Easy Tiger

Austin has a new destination for beer drinking and pretzel eating! I got a chance to check out Easy Tiger last weekend to celebrate a friend’s birthday {and day away from her new baby} and had a really great time.

The opening of Easy Tiger was delayed for the past year as the owners grappled with the perils of historic building renovation and remodeling, but it was well worth the wait. Upstairs is a full service bakery while downstairs is a cozy pub with a beer garden running along Waller Creek {you may remember the space as the old Haban}. I sipped on a stout called Old Chum and ate my weight in pretzels and beer cheese. Another must on the menu is the New York board with the best corned beef I have ever had, hands down! I snagged a few pictures from austin.eater.com to give you a peek but definitely take time to run down to 6th street and check this place out {yes I said 6th street!}. They may just turn the neighborhood around!
