One of my favorite designers, and a close friend, Emily Gibbons married her sweetheart, Colby Harstell, this past weekend in the Texas Hill Country.  The event kicked off with a low key bachelorette party at Inks Lake in the Hamilton’s bitchin’ 60’s lake house and finished with a warm and inviting ceremony and reception at the Hummingbird House in Manchaca TX.

I spent my childhood weekends and summers at my grandparents Cedar Creek lake house and have a soft spot for the lake lifestyle.  From the decor to long mornings sipping coffee looking over the water – time practically stops when you are there.

Emily made a stunning necklace to compliment her elegant and uncomplicated gown and also donned all of her bridesmaids.  Lucky girls!  Maybe this will inspire a bridal line for the store?

Outside of missing my man terribly, it was a wonderful party full of great conversation, a bit of dancing, and of course wine!
