I am so proud to present my newest collection for spring 2013, Fortune! For this collection I expanded on the new techniques and details introduced in Giza, but with a softer and less geometric approach. I was excited to combine bezel set stones with the addition of new colors green onyx and rainbow moonstone {which will be arriving in the studio soon}. You also see the introduction of 14k gold-fill sheet which beautifully stands the test of time and wear.
While designing Fortune, I was inspired by the symbol of the horseshoe, and specifically by a Native American squash blossom necklace that I haven’t been able to take off for months now! The horseshoe when turned upwards signifies receiving and retaining good luck, and when positioned downward signifies releasing good luck for the people around you. I couldn’t think of better symbolism for my new collection!
The beautiful images below were taken by Austin photographer Jackie Lee Young with model and designer Chantel Stull last weekend in South Austin. They absolutely capture the feeling and mood of the collection {a little dark and mysterious while still being light and delicate}. You can see the complete lookbook below and view the entire collection online here.
