Moab to Newspaper Rock, Utah

¥56,200

I first went to Utah in 2011, on a long summer trip between Austin and California. In Moab I became one with red sandy rock mountains and arches. At Newspaper Rock, I saw the markings of ancient people leaving behind their symbols and messages on the stone. This painting is the memory of my eyes being opened to the deep and wide beauty of the West.

Lime paint, pencil, sandpaper, on avocado dyed paper, 2020, 6" x 6"
