Oval Blue Montana Sapphire Ring

¥410,000

A true one-of-a-kind, this steel blue Montana Sapphire was mined and cut by a friend exclusively for me, making it traceable, ethical and sustainable.  Set east to west on a heavy weight 14k yellow gold band, it would be a stunning engagement ring for the alternative bride.

1.02 total carat weight, 6.1mm at widest, 3.9mm band.

This ring is in stock in a size 7 and can be sized up to 1 1/2 sizes up or down. Contact us to discuss sizing options.

One of a kind rings cannot be customized or duplicated exactly as each stone is truly unique, however designs can be replicated with other one of a kind stones chosen by you.  Learn more about the custom process here and contact us to commission your own one of a kind design.

Montana sapphires aren’t mined like traditional sapphires, with removal of rocks and tunneling, but are found in streams and dried up creek beds. One can often trace Montana sapphires from the mine to the market and in this case, I know the person who mined and cut this stone.  He paid himself a fair wage and has safe working conditions.  You can't get more traceable and ethical than that!

I am deeply committed to becoming a more ethical jeweler using sustainable practices and materials.  Learn more about my commitment to sustainability and the dark side of jewelry here.  One step at a time we can make a difference!
