All Possible Futures
The history of Mount Tamalpais (Mt. Tam) is said by some Native Americans to come from a time when “men and animals spoke one language.” It has been a sacred mountain for thousands of years. It is said that the Lakota Sioux, made the long journey west carrying their tribal leaders on litters for burial on the slopes of Mt. Tam. When I lived in SF, Mt. Tam was a place of spiritual refuge and elevation for me when the energy of San Francisco got too intense. This painting is a view of that mountain from the air, with spiritual tokens floating above and in front of it.
